Our instructor development programs are designed with a laser focus on maximizing the quality of instructor-student interaction during every learning event and flight. We help instructors develop the self-awareness, technical proficiency, and pedagogical skills needed to transform students into pilots who can operate independently and confidently—the ultimate goal of all flight instruction.

Our Comprehensive Approach

Our approach to instructor development is built on a fundamental principle: the goal of instruction is to develop students who can fly without instructor intervention. We've observed that many instructors talk too much in the cockpit, often spoon-feeding students rather than allowing them to recognize and solve problems independently. Our programs help instructors calibrate their level of intervention based on where students are in their training progression, gradually reducing input as students advance.

We develop what we call "hyper-awareness" in instructors—a deep understanding of exactly how they execute maneuvers at or above standards. This includes awareness of control inputs, visual references, thought processes, and correction techniques. When instructors understand precisely how they achieve excellence, they can better identify where students struggle and provide targeted guidance. Combined with our structured briefing and debriefing methodologies and root cause analysis techniques, this approach creates a comprehensive system for maximizing instructional effectiveness and accelerating student progress toward graduation-level performance.
